Process Guidelines
The purpose of this process is to help the ministries of SouthPark Church maximize the effectiveness of their communication both to the community and to Sunday attenders. If you have questions regarding this process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to a staff member or pastor.
Step 1: Submit an Communication Request Form Below.
Step 2: Your Request will be sent to our Communications and Pastoral Leadership Team. Approved events will be assigned one of three Event Types (see below), which determine how each event will be communicated.
Step 3: Once approved and assigned to an Event Type, the Communications Department will produce, distribute and schedule any assets needed.
EVENT TYPEs
Hosted Events
We value our SouthPark (SPC) community and want others to be welcome here at SouthPark Church. When an outside organization uses the Church facility this is considered a hosted event. SPC is not responsible for promoting these events because they are not officially sponsored by the church, just hosted at our facility. These events are a way for us to show hospitality to our city.
Group Events
When a member of SPC would like to facilitate or promote an event we call it a Group Event. Typically these events are sponsored by a life group or ministry team. The most effective way for a leader to promote a Group Event is through word of mouth. We do not announce Group Events on Sundays because there are so many of them throughout the year.
Church-wide Events
Church-wide events are planned by the Pastors and Directors of SouthPark Church and are specifically designed to equip our church to worship God as a community on mission. They are relevant to every person who calls SPC their home, and are often attended by more than 100 people. We aim to have no more than 12 of these events per year (~ one per month).
